What tests are required for qualified shower hoses

Shower hoses have characteristics such as corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, tensile resistance, and softness. However, to achieve excellent quality, the manufacturer is required not only to strictly control the production process, but also to strictly test their functions before leaving the factory. Do you know what tests are required for qualified hoses?
1. Withstand voltage test
The pressure test is also known as the strength test, which belongs to the performance parameter test. Generally speaking, hose requires a pressure test.
Manual pressure testing pump or electric pressure testing pump can be used for pressurization. During pressure observation, a barometer above the pressure testing range can be used, or equivalent test instruments can be used.
During the experiment, it should be necessary to place the hose sample directly, with one end installed with an exhaust valve plugged, and the other end connected to the outlet pipe of the pressure pump. Inject water into the hose, then discharge the gas in the hose, close the exhaust valve, and slowly increase the pressure until the pressure reaches the specified test pressure value. After maintaining the pressure for 5 minutes, check the sample for leaks, damage, and other faults. If the hose is qualified, During the period of maintaining pressure, there should be no abnormalities or failures.
2. Sealing test
Sealing test is also an important indicator test, and it is also required to test the hoses delivered from the factory. The tightness test needs to be carried out under nominal pressure, and the hose that passes the test cannot have air leakage. The tightness test usually needs to be carried out after passing the pressure test.
During the test, it should be necessary to select dry and clean air. In addition to using air, nitrogen or other protective gases can also be used as the medium for the test.
The service life of hoses is relatively long, and if used well, they can be used for several years. The service life of different materials is different, such as metal hoses, which are commonly used
Made of stainless steel, it has strong corrosion resistance and tensile properties, resulting in a longer service life. PVC hoses are lightweight and inexpensive, but because they can age in the air, their service life is not as long as metal hoses.
The following aspects should be noted when using hoses:
1、 PVC hoses are not suitable for being too long, and their length should be appropriate, not exceeding 2 meters. If they are too long, they can easily drag the floor, causing deformation and cracking due to stress during use, which can easily lead to water leakage.
2、 Generally, rubber inner tubes are used inside metal hoses, which are prone to aging after prolonged use. Aging rubber inner tubes should be promptly removed and replaced. Failure to remove and replace the inner tubes in a timely manner can easily lead to water leakage.
3、 The hose connection should be tight. Some users may not have a firm connection, which can easily lead to water leakage within a few days of use. Generally, the hose needs to be connected to the outlet faucet and sprinkler, and connected through threads. When connecting, it needs to be tightened in the correct direction.
Before producing a qualified shower hose, it is generally necessary to undergo a pressure test and sealing test. When purchasing, users can check to see if the manufacturer can issue a qualified test report.
