There are installation precautions for everything, so what should be paid attention to when installing metal bellows.

1. The compensator is a special pipeline element, and its installation is complex and requires strict requirements. It needs to calculate the pipeline thrust and the force of the fixed support, so it cannot be installed without authorization, otherwise it will cause an accident. Therefore, the installation must have the pipeline construction drawing and detailed configuration of the pipeline support provided by the professional design department, and refer to the requirements of the compensator installation instructions.

2. Compensators with flow direction requirements shall be installed according to the requirements of medium flow direction arrow.

3. In order to keep the bellows in good working condition, the deformation of the compensator, including axial, transverse and torsional deformation, cannot be used to adjust the installation error of the pipe system position during installation.

4. Before installation, clean the bellows and foreign matters in the pipe to ensure the normal movement of the bellows.

5. When purchasing, do not rely only on the model or code, but provide data to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer can design and produce to ensure the service life or quality.

6. The bellows used for the compensator is formed by thin-walled stainless steel plate. Therefore, during transportation, lifting and welding, pay attention not to damage the bellows due to knocking, scratching, arc striking, welding spatter and other reasons.

7. Before the system runs, the small pull rod is generally not recommended to be removed by the manufacturer. Instead, after the pressure is completed, loosen the inner nut according to the compensation amount.
8. The pipes installed with metal corrugated compensators must be properly guided and fixed to make the compensators work. Therefore, the guide and fixed support must be set in strict accordance with the relevant technical data of the design department.
